Travelling Squares
This group project has us all working outside of our comfort zones. We have divided up into groups of four with the first person in each group providing a piece of back ground fabric, measuring approximately 12 inch square. It is then passed onto the next person in the group who adds or removes something to the fabric. This can be absolutely anything.
Here are some images of our pieces so far, it is early days as its only travelled around two members so there is much more to do. Its very exciting to see everyone’s interpretations. Watch this space to see our progression.
Up Coming Exhibition
We are all currently working hard for our up coming H2O exhibition at the Blue Moon Gallery in Heswall and we are all really looking forward to it. We would love to see you at our ‘meet the artists’ day on Saturday 3rd of November 10.30am – 2.00pm
The title H2O has challenged each artist to find innovative solutions to this watery theme. Thoughts ranged from snow, ice, steam, floods, flows and waterfalls to ponds, lakes, streams, canals, rivers and the sea. Results vary in size and technique but importantly they showcase the talents of ConText members and their feelings about the subject.
